I got all excited when the new management of the landfill announced plans to start recycling in the next six months (Landfill to introduce recycling in six months…) and then I read this (Where Will Your Plastic Trash Go Now That China Doesn't Want It?…)

And after reading this article (Your Recycling Gets Recycled, Right? Maybe, or Maybe Not…) from last year my hopes were dampened a little more.

But the local folks are again talking about a waste to energy plant in five years or so.

Maybe there is hope that recycling will work here after all?
