Dear Editor,

Have you been down to the Department of Inland Revenue’s brand new building located in the back of beyond on Carmichael Road? I have only just discovered it myself and have been trying ever since to pay for this year’s Business Licence – I think I’m just starting to see some daylight in that venture!

Nice new building, two large double entrance doors …. err …. one of the four doors actually unlocked! I, somewhat sarcastically, mentioned to the security/reception officer that I supposed keeping three doors locked would ensure that, in an emergency, like fire, at least some people would be trapped!

Yet more stupidity in government staff
