A friend sent a link to this article about import restrictions between the US and Cuba along.
This paragraph sums it up pretty good:
"What’s the difference? If imports are good for Cubans, why aren’t they good for Americans? If placing restrictions on imports is destructive of the lifestyles of Cubans, why isn’t it destructive of the lifestyles of Americans?" Read more here…
I would venture to say that if all trade barriers with Cuba are dropped, they would find themselves having to allow more freedom for their people than the incremental freedoms being doled out to them as if they are not deserving of the same privileges/liberty their "leaders" are.
There is enough blame for both the US and Cuba to share in this matter.
Let's go America. What are you waiting for? The people of Cuba deserve their liberty.
