    This themes are ever present in Ayn Rand’s classic work The Fountainhead and in William Golding’s brilliant work, Lord of the Flies.. Both warn the reader of the darkness of collective subjugation and the debasement of individualism.. Superbly written in the 1940’s these two classics as as relevant today as they were when they were written..
