With Government under “extreme” pressure for funding it seeks to use citizens pension money?

NIBAnd not disclose the details?

The Nassau Guardian pointed out on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 that the Government is considering purchasing the old City Market headquarters.

I'm dumbfounded by this quote from the Minister of Labour and National Insurance when asked which government ministry expressed interest in acquiring the building, he said, “I am not sure."

“Let me put it this way, it is kind of sensitive, and so I would prefer not to discuss it now. In due course it will be announced.”

Here we have a government under extreme pressure regarding it's financing so it's going to use the pension contributions (that will dry up according to their own studies) of it's citizen's and then says he prefers not to discuss it?

What are we to make of all this?

Spending other people's pension money can't be discussed? Isn't this what caused the present City Market problem in the first place?

What I find is incredible is our government continues to pass laws to keep us in check, but ignores a similar responsibility for themselves. And we accept it as reasonable.

I think people need to realize, quite seriously that Governments the world over have decided,
They will stay on top no matter what.
By Governments I mean the elected individuals and the Vast swarm of Bureaucrats and Civil servants, who operate as government.
It has become as a distinct class of people as any other.
    And they have the “power”
Actually, they nave assumed powers that technically they do not have,
    but no one stops them.
So, when it come down to the Authorities hearing that you have a chicken,
Don’t plan on having any dinner.

Right on Ominous.. In our Bahamas we have created a duel society.. On the top tier, we have created a political elite of government politicians and bureaucrats.. On the bottom tier are people who are the victims of what is becoming government through oppression.. The top tier has become an authoritarian ruling class or what Plato’s Republic described as the “guardian class” that rules for its own political and individual advantage.. The concept of National Interest is subordinated to the interests of this “guardian class” where economic privileges are granted for absolute loyalty and political support.. Sadly the people mistake the promises of a social utopia for what is becomes totalitarian Statism.. In the end democracy over time fails as a political system where the citizen voter demand more economic benefits in exchange for their political support.. As a result the public accepts authoritarian governance and a decreased and loss in their God given individual and human rights.. Statism then rules supreme..

    Democracy, yeah…
Mob Rules, “Consensus”, majority Rule, tribalism, feudalism, it all boils down to minimizing standards so everyone fits.
“It takes a village” for instance, well the village fails when all therein are looking to the tribal chief to Feed, solve, resolve or protect, settle.
None of this will end well.
history ignored is at your own peril.

“It takes a village” is nothing more than Clintonian cries for more collective control over society and in particular in the raising of children.. We don’t need a village, but we do need traditional family values where children are taught and learn to compete in a competitive society.. The growth and development of the individual to “be all he can be” is what really counts.. In a collective social structure, no one ever wins and no one ever losses.. Society sinks to a lower common denominator and human individuality becomes lost.. Where individualism is emphasized, personal self-respect and the values of truth, morality and honor are a part of the individual’s development and humanism..
