A tip is voluntary by the way

GratuitySir,

Who on earth, on the hotel employers’ side, agreed to add the “gratuity” into the last national agreement?

Does no-body understand what a gratuity is?  Let me explain, it is a TOTALLY VOLUNTARY payment made at the discretion of the customer as a “thank you” for good services received.

What happens when the customer, for whatever reason, puts a line through that figure and refuses to pay, which he has every right to do; it is his choice and his alone to pay or not pay?
