Dear Mr. Editor,

I’m not sure who the management of BPL is trying to fool.

Rather than trying save energy, it would appear to this ignorant power consumer that the intention is to destroy customer’s electrical equipment.

If this is not the case perhaps the powers that be in BPL could explain how the following timetable of “load-shedding” in my area is of any use elsewhere on the grid:

1. Wednesday, 15^th. May power off at 11:15am and back on about 3 minutes later
2. Friday, 17^th. May power off at 8:55am and back on at 9:05am
3. Saturday, 18^thMay power off and back on very early in the morning; power off at 8:45am and back on at 8:50am
4. Sunday, 19^th. May power off just before 8:00am and back on at 8:00am; power off at 8:05am and back on at 8:10am

At this time, 2:25pm, 19^th. the power has remained on, perhaps someone senior in BPL could explain the rationale for these, apparently, pointless cuts
