BAMSI costs and sustainability

BAMSIThe "Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI) is redefining its business model and will focus solely on the wholesale sector, a move which is expected to translate into increased revenue by tens of thousands of dollars…"

Nice words but they do not provide a heightened level of confidence in the outcome.

Since its existence BAMSI has been a drain on the public purse.

Anyone know what happened to the 1,000 lime trees they bought for $1 million to solve the lime shortage a few years back?

Let's not forget the $8 million allocation from the July 2018 Budget nor what this years tranche will be.

When will the taxpaying public ever see their financials to see just how much revenue needs to be increased to cover costs?

Obviously losses keep mounting so it is foolhardy to continue funding BAMSI, but it is doubtful that this will happen.
