May the blessings of Christmas be with us all.. Hopefully during this holiday season we will reflect on the joys of Christmas pass, on the regressions of Christmas present and the resurrection of the Christmas spirit in the future.. The Bahamian people must set forth a national effort to bring the true Christmas spirit and meaning into the hearts and souls of our people.. We must rejoice in the memory of the birth of God's son and the people's Saviour..

Celebrate Christmas with love and kindness with all of mankind rejecting greed, self-indulgence and selfishness.. Become in life our brother's keeper and not our brother's dependent and burden.. Replace the feelings of anger and self-pity with happiness and pride in making a difference.. Let the spirit of Christmas fill our hearts with joy and love.. And finally let us remember our individual blessings for that is the true meaning of Christmas joy.. May God bless our Bahamas one and all..
