Well after Fred Mitchell (PLP Senator) tried to shut party members down about their desire for party apologies and the need for positive change in the PLP, former Cabinet Minister Loftus Roker and columnist Phil Galanis have laid it out that people like Chester Cooper (PLP MP) are correct.
In fact both Messrs Roker and Galanis have called for the resignation of PLP Chairman Bradley Roberts, suggesting that the more he opens hi mouth, the more damage he does to the brand.
Mr. Galanis was quite blunt saying, "The arrogance anger and general lack of appreciation by the fallen warriors of what the people were saying suggest that the PLP simply did not get it."
Mr. Roker was equally pointed and suggested, "the party needs to sit down and check itself in all aspects, including leadership, if we intend to go any place."
Strong words from PLP colleagues.
How quickly the tide has turned. Just a few short months ago the FNM were the brunt of Roberts criticism. Now he and others are getting their own back in spades.
The country needs a strong opposition so the sooner the PLP cast its burdens aside and move the party forward the better it will be.
