Spain: No government but economic improvement

image from files.umwblogs.orgSince December 20, 2015 neither political party in Spain has been able to secure a majority to form a government nor have they been able to forge a coalition.

With almost a year gone by with no government, and with the country's economic indicators improving, "people wonder if it really is that serious."

New elections are planned for December 25, 2016, but Christmas Day might not see many people willing to go to the polls.

With unemployment falling and GDP Growth projected at 2.5% per annum or higher, anarchy, or in this case a provisional government with very limited powers, looks like a reasonable approach to governance.
