In Saturday’s Nassau Guardian Mr. Shane Gibson (PLP), Minister of Labour was up to his typical demonising and myth-making. Qualities he and a couple other PLP’s like Mr. Bradley Roberts and E.J. Bowe of Price Control have defined to a fine art.
I’m sure they subscribe to the theory, as the old saying foes, that “When you throw enough shit at a wall, some will stick.”
Consider these “contributions” to problem solving by Mr. Gibson.

Our country is in deep doo doo and this divisiveness, demonising and myth-making solves nothing.
For a party that, according to Mr. Gibson, has “…moved away from and rejected this type of government who wastes the people’s time on irrelevant character assassinations instead of on what affects the economic, social and financial status of our country.” Mr. Gibson leaves me baffled.
It’s about crafting public policy that works for all Bahamians, individuals and businesses alike. Not PLP, or FNM’s but Bahamians.
It’s also not about forcing your will on people using the coercive power of the government that has proven to be regressive and detrimental to economic growth and prosperity over the course of our country’s brief history.
