As The Bahamas slides into the abyss of Socialist public policies it's worth taking a look at what happened to Venezuela over the last 15 years or so.
Matt O'Brien lays it out quite clearly in this recent article…
His piece is entitled "Venezuela is on the brink of a complete economic collapse" and it is quite revealing. Heck there are even lines to buy toilet paper. Not to mention food stores without enough food and breweries without enough hops to make beer.
Imagine no beer!
Of course these problems are all blamed on the "parasitic" business people according to the economic minister appointed by Socialist president Nicolas Maduro.
Venezuela should serve as a lesson for The Bahamas. The question is will it?
I suspect many will choose to believe there is a free lunch.
The problem is when our economic collapse comes everyone is worse off.
