Talking with friends in England a little earlier, the conversation turned to passports and the speed, or lack thereof, in the delivery of same. I was told that a British passport can be obtained by fast-tracking for a fee of £146.00 or about $230.00 – at present rates. Of course, the UK is a small country of only (sic) 55,000,000 souls or so, therefore fast-tracking might take a little time, like 24 hours! Are you looking at and reading this, Mr. Mitchell?
You might argue that there are passport offices all over the U.K., that is true, except each office will, potentially, handle enquiries from millions within each office’s catchment area; whereas our passport office handles enquiries from, potentially, 350,000! Where do you think you are going wrong, Mr. Mitchell?
Instead of gallivanting around the globe at the drop of a hat, ohh, and at our expense, it might prove beneficial if you were to stay home and get your Ministry, all areas of it, working properly.
