Bahamas Hurricane Joaquin Relief Efforts

image from www.worldatlas.comPrivate organizations and individuals take the lead. As they should.

There is no doubt Joaquin dealt the Southern islands of The Bahamas a devastating blow, but it is heartwarming to see how Bahamians are responding.

From local pilots and airlines, to civic groups, to churches, it's wonderful to see.

It will be a slow process getting back to normal in the islands most affected, but family, friends and interested citizens can and will make a difference.

A special mention for Dr. Harry Munnings and his pilot network for getting a jump start on all the initial surveillance efforts.
