Gibson and Coercion

Dear Sir,

I am quite certain that there is no legal requirement for an employer to collect union dues from its employees, therefore, Mr. Gibson, it is not a union-busting move on the part of the Melia hotel to cease this practice but much more likely a cost cutting exercise on behalf of the hotel.

Let the union have the expense of collecting dues from its members.  I'm quite certain what the union is truly and seriously worried about will the lack of enthusiasm of the individual member to make that payment voluntarily.
