This CBC news story from March this year is very interesting.
When you are bombarded about going green with an electric car here, you just might be doing more damage to the environment.
Here's a brief quote:
"Trying to go green by replacing your gas guzzler with an electric car? In some provinces, that may actually be worse for the environment, a University of Toronto researcher says.
"In Alberta, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, electric cars generate more carbon over their lifetimes than gas-powered cars, said Chris Kennedy, a professor of civil engineering at the University of Toronto, in an interview with CBC's The Current Tuesday."
Moving on to Tesla
And just when you thought it was safe to charge your Tesla, this post from Watts Up With That? story is side splitting.
The article is headlined: "Almost Friday Funny – Tesla is apparently recharging ’emissions free’ electric cars with a diesel generator" and it's really worth watching the video here…
The point is, when greener than thou folks accost you, take solace in the fact that the technology is still emerging and has many kinks to be worked out.
In other words, it ain't all it's cracked up to be yet and you don't have to feel guilty about driving a fuel efficient less polluting gasoline powered vehicle.
