EconInsiders from FEE

EconInsidersThe Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) has started an excellent e-mail newsletter called EconInsiders and each month you can get information providing "your monthly dose of compelling content relating to the flourishing of a free society!"

The fourth issue (found here…) includes articles about "incentives" with titles like:

Is Price Gouging Immoral? Should It Be Illegal?
Is it morally wrong to charge more when the demand for goods and services is high?

Slavery, Snakes, and Switching
People respond to incentives no matter how bad the outcome.

In Defense of Uber’s Surge Pricing
"Making the best of a bad situation."

What is the incentive problem under socialism?
Murray Rothbard explains in less than a minute!

"Prices are incentives wrapped in knowledge."
– Steve Horwitz

And the Reading of the Month is:

"Economic Calculation in the Socialist Commonwealth" by Ludwig von Mises
This is the essay that overthrew the socialist paradigm in economics, and provided the foundation for modern Austrian price theory. When it first appeared in 1920, Mises was alone in challenging the socialists to explain how their pricing system would actually work in practice.

Hope you can poke around a bit.
