Sir,

Now that this carnival abomination is finished (hopefully forever); we, the long-suffering voters in this land demand that the Ministries of Sports & Culture, Tourism and Finance together with the relevant Ministers, not forgetting Messrs Paul Major and Roscoe Dames should immediately start clearing those hideous hoardings and other advertising eyesores that are desecrating what WAS a beautiful island.

Notwithstanding the above, perhaps someone might enlighten me, but I got the distinct impression, from watching short snippets on ZNS television, that last Thursday, Friday and Saturday was, in fact, a three day, $9,000,000 concert with, in the main, second-rate performers, could that be right?

Ohh, and that “parade” on Saturday, all I can say is I am truly thankful that no-one in my family had any medical emergency because I am quite certain the patient would have passed away in the ambulance while trying to get from Cable Beach to the hospital!

I would also mention words that a good friend and well-known personality; “I was totally under-whelmed by the whole episode.
