Listening to the good reverend gentleman who runs the Good Samaritan Home for the Aged on the News recently requesting urgent assistance to prevent the imminent closure of the Home; stating his pleas to government apparently fell on deaf ears.
I’m very sorry to say this but this government thinks it is far more important, rather than helping our poor and disenfranchised citizens, but rather waste that money to erect futile rounders pitches to impress a few visiting ball-players, and to try and change, at fabulous expense, our cultural iconic junkanoo event with a second-rate carnival hijacked from elsewhere.
