In a recent letter to the editor back on August 18, 2014, Mr. Patrick Bethel, SCV of Abaco says:

"I've seen figures that show $400,000,000 is the gross intake of web shops per year."

"Last night (August 17, 2014) I saw figures that showed the government was projecting annual revenue of $20,000,000 per year, 5% of gross."

"This cannot be correct."

"Will someone please enlighten me."

Well it looks like Sharon T, in her column of August 29, 2014, posted here… might have provided the answers?

In a nutshell the government does not know what web shops annual sales are.

Curious indeed that they are able present Bills to Parliament to tax them and they don't know this important fact.
