Dear Sir,

I wonder if our great and glorious (sic) leader, Mr. Perry Gladstone Christie, will now, perhaps, listen to we Bahamians when we tell him we do not want some-else’s cast off for a summer festival.

Will he listen to foreigners, which the past has shown he is far more likely to do, so when USA Today says the Bahamas Junkanoo is, positively, the best Caribbean – yeah, I know that the Bahamas is not in the Caribbean, but stay with me, please – “festival” known to man.

Perhaps, therefore, if Mr. Christie has so much money to waste on a second-rate imported “festival” might he now be encouraged to spare some of these funds to improve Junkanoo even more?
