Why is everyone so critical of the Members of Parliament and potential Governors General that do not comply with the law?

Heck the average Bahamian just cannot understand the sacrifices they've made to "serve us".

Let's see.

Flying around the world first class. Eating and drinking in the finest restaurants to their hearts content. Staying in only five star hotels. Having chauffers and hand maidens waiting to fulfill your every wish must also be like hard labour at Fox Hill Prison.

Filing forms, paying property taxes or electricity bills are trivial matters that only mere mortals must deal with, not those of us that have to "run the country".

So the next time you start to fret about having your electricity cut off for non-payment or being threatened with losing your home for not paying your property tax, take heart, you have to pay up so our law makers don't have to.

It's all for the grave sacrifices they make for us.

When all is said and done we will build statues of them or put their picture on the money and more.
