It is not really surprising that such a pig’s dinner was made of the referendum concerning webshops when Mr. Christie, who, by the way, I thought was an attorney, is still talking about “regularising” the webshops!
Sorry sir but as I have been saying until I’m blue in the face, you cannot “regularise” an illegal act.
Looks like Mr. Christie is bringing his “Perry’s Shuffle” to running the Government – take two steps forward, open mouth shove both feet down throat.

As far as I am concerned the web shops have business licenses to operate and should already be paying taxes like other businesses.
Is it just a matter of tweaking the Business License Tax Act to include gambling houses?
I do agree that they should be paying taxes & they should be just as high as the rest of our taxes are,maybe even higher.As far as christie goes I can’t even stand to hear him speak anymore.He reminds me of a hot air balloon,only thing is he can’t even get a foot off the ground.
Our PM seem to be following the “lead from behind strategy” as promulgated by the Obama administration.. Regardless of Federal Law, enforcement is discretionary as to what almighty Obama and his so-called Attorney General decides to enforce.. Law by executive decree and preferential enforcement is a violation of the nation’s Constitution.. Is this criminal action or treason, no one seems to care?? With a divided Congress that sits in utter silence, Washington’s socialist party of tyranny just keeps going on.. Have they conveniently forgotten that by 2020, the Federal Deficit will be over $20 trillion and the nation may very collapse and the once almighty dollar will become almost worthless.. Be careful Bahamas, we very well may be next in line as our exchange rate is tied directly to the US dollar and our financial reserves are dominated in that failing currency..

It is very disturbing to hear of the web shop crooks throwing lavish parties, living in mansions, holding outrageous parties and funding expensive weddings… all with TAX FREE money they made illegally. It’s like the drug-fueled riches of the 80s all over again.
Why that money isn’t confiscated, like drug money is, is beyond me.
This smacks of corruption in government, the same as it did in the 80s.
Perry talks about how he has clean hands but that is not true. If he allows this on his watch, he is as corrupt as the people who are committing the crimes.
These are most frightening times in which we live.. Rule by law has given way to rule by men.. Law and order has given way to tyranny and authoritarian rule.. The “Dictatorship of the Proletariat” may very well be at hand.. What once was, may never be again as the cancer of diversity has brought “the last great hope of mankind” to its very knees in defeat.. Individualism of “We the people” has given way to the Collectivism of We the government.. The excessive concentration of lawlessness and executive power is destroying democracy and will eventually make the Constitution an empty and meaningless document.. Rest in peace oh “city on the hill”; freedom’s time may have come to pass..
Just like the police.The problem is one of two things,either they are so corrupt or they just don’t know what they are doing & both are pretty bad to me.The politicians that are supposedly running the country are just as bad as what they let happen on their watch or if they do nothing about it,same thing.I hold them all just as responsible as the mindless idiots that are doing the deeds simply because of their actions or lack of them.They are leading by example,only problem is they are a very bad example & it starts at the top.Think about the heavy taxes & christie says we have to be taxed all while he & his government are pissing our hard earned tax dollars away & we must be taxed more ? Are you kidding me christie ? What an idiot.What christie needs to do is stop all of the mad unnecessary waste & maybe then he will be a wanna be leader but until then he is no where near being a leader.
Try thinking for a moment my friend.. You are dealing with the symptoms of the Problem and not the Problem itself.. Under our system of “disguised” democracy, we indirect elect the nation’s Leader as we vote for a political party regardless of the individuals running for Parliament.. When we vote, the only thing printed on the ballet is the symbol of the political parties with the individual candidates going unnamed.. Our leadership for the next six years is determined by party preference and not individual preference.. This is “Machine Politics”, Chicago-style, at its very best.. Such a system, whether in the Bahamas or the United States often gives us incompetent and mediocre leadership at best..
Overtaxed, our Problem is a problem of incompetent leadership over which we have no control or say.. The police, party politicians and government itself only falls into line and must do as they are told.. Firings and political purges are the result of political decent against the nation’s Leader.. There is no guiding National Interest in the Bahamas as the nation’s leadership, regardless of political affiliation, acts only in its own political and self-interest.. By contrast in the United States, its current political leadership is motivated by ideological interests and collective objectives.. What is needed, but more than likely will never happen, is national leadership that governs in the National Interest and the best interest of nation’s goals.. Collective ideology is a destructive force that may very well destroy the political foundations of freedom in the Bahamas and the “last great hope”, the United States..
That is borderline communism to me Tradewinds,you are correct & we are very close to that now.
