   An economic paradox in the making .. Government introducing a policy called VAT that will create a 10 percent plus increase in poverty.. Then in their never ending brilliance, they propose to establish a so-called Safety Net to assist the newly created ranks of the poor..
   This is like a dog chasing his tail.. This is beyond rational thinking, but it is what we have come to expect from an ill-advised and uninformed government.. Creating greater poverty by raising taxes and using hoped-for revenues arising from these taxes to assist the newly created poor is outright foolishness.. This is an economic contradiction beyond belief..
