It is my sincere hope that our political classes will visit this Blogsite from time to time and read the various posts that surely would ‘stretch their minds with new ideas’ …. Lord knows they need it!

Unfortunately it seems their minds have been stretched by bad ideas never to return to common sense, every one of them.

The brilliance and genius of Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. and his scholarly contribution to the American Intelligentsia is worthy of a lifetime of study..
In contrast his more famous son, Oliver Wendell Homes Jr., Chief Justice of the United States during Roosevelt’s New Deal era gave America the judicial idea that the Constitution of the United States was an ongoing “Experiment” rejecting the ideal of what is known to legal scholars as “Strict Interpretation” of constitutional meaning and law.. He became leading jurist of the progressive (liberal) movement, supported an organic constitution, accepted the packing of the Supreme Court and even today is the ultimate source of the liberal school of legal thinking..
What a difference a single generation can make in intellectual thinking and development that was to change the political philosophy and direction of the American Republic..
