Young folks like Tamara encourage me not to give up hope for our little country.
Every journey begins with a single step forward as the people of the Bahamas are now beginning to recognize the frightening economic disaster that confronts our Bahamas as it moves towards the establishment of an oppressive VAT regime.. VAT will destroy the very foundation of our structured economy increasing poverty, unemployment and dependence.. The people are beginning to realize that VAT will not raise the hoped for revenues, but instead it will raise our overall cost of living by taking even more money from their almost empty pockets.. Trust in government now is becoming an unquestionable issue as the people realize that successive governments have borrowed our country’s destiny down the drain to near financial bankruptcy.. The time has come for accountability for the billions of dollars that were wastefully spent by government with little benefit going to the Bahamian people..
Enough is enough as the VAT propagandists continue to fail to answer any of the fundamental questions about the overall failure of VAT where ever it has been forced upon unsuspecting nations.. Can anyone in or outside the government give the Bahamian people just one example where VAT has delivered on its so-called promises.. They can’t truthfully answer what do not exists..
Welcome to the fight, Citizens for a Better Bahamas.. Your cause is just and as you grow in numbers and strength, always take the high road and never give in to false conviction.. Your time has come as you take that the first step on your journey to make a difference in direction and governance of the country we call home..
This is what the country needs, people like Tamara. I am so glad people are waking up to the facts, its time these politicians wake up to the fact that they have awakened a sleeping giant and we are not going to take it anymore.
