A resounding and obvious no.
But, to be fair,
neither are parents preparing their children to be decent, honest productive studious students and people.
It is a matter of lacking self-esteem and positive character development that characterizes our younger children.. Until these issues of character development and negative attitudes are addressed as in integral part of Bahamian education, little if any improvement can be expected.. Let’s hope that someday we will have an Education Minister that recognizes this problem and attempts to do something about it.. The solutions are there and perhaps are even waiting.. However, until this is given the highest priority, it seems that education will be stuck in an unfilled pothole.. Time for government to fix the potholes as every child in the Bahamas, whenever they looks into a mirror, deserves to say to themselves with a smile, I’m Special..
