Increased taxes, new taxes (VAT), more regulations, shorter work weeks and years with more public and annual holidays, and now National Health Insurance.
A preponderance of schemes to take more and more from taxpayers to support their wanton waste.
Every announcement is the taxpayer has to give more, yet seldom, if ever, is government spending mentioned.
I know I sound like a stuck record, but with tax levels that must be averaging 40%, for those that pay, how can the government expect the economy to grow when they are so reckless and continue to add these burdens?
Seems to me our government has forgotten its correct role and is trying to be all things to all people voters.
History is replete with examples where this destroys economies and hence the livelihoods of everyone.
Will they learn before it's too late? Because what they are doing is really irresponsible.
It's almost funny how during elections they can convey there is some magical kingdom they're going to create. Yet when the partying is over they are intent on creating a hell on earth.
Even the chorus of the party faithful choir is starting to sound disjointed and out of tune. What took them so long?
I am convinced that Obama is deliberately destroying the USA. His actions show that and no matter what comes out of his mouth he can not be believed. What ever he does seems to be straight from Karl Marx. Christie is not far off either.
Bureaucracies the world over have become the all important entity to be fed, served and obeyed, vying only with the remaining dictators and closed societies, and we know who rides high in those.(and who doesn’t)
People have unwittingly, and through subservience willing subjects to be pillaged at will.
One only has to look back at recent history to start seeing the parallels.
That Governments the world over are colluding in self preservation does not bode well for anyone or anyplace.
The more hyper-extended Governments get, the easier it is for them to justify grabbing private wealth.
(There is no Government wealth, they are all in debt)

Through lies and deliberate deception, Obama has risen to power and is destroying the United States through his failed domestic policies and a foreign policy of weakness and capitulation.. He is often criticized for a lacking leadership, but his egotistic leadership style to destroy the United States is right on track.. This is deliberate intention and not a mistaken failure..
History is full of absolute tyrants who purposefully destroy the freedom and individual rights of their citizens in order to establish totalitarian control and power.. Obama and his arrogance fit that description exactly for that is the “content of his character”.. Through the abuse of Executive Orders and directives, he has bypassed the Congress, the Constitution and Rule of Law.. The American people have been blinded by PC, political correctness, permitting Obama to turn PC into political corruption.. His Obamacare has little to do with improving healthcare in America, but everything to do with the extension of government power and control.. Obama is a dangerous, treasonable man that is destroying the very foundation of liberty and individual freedom.. He is the answer to Karl Marx’s Des Capital, who over 150 years ago wrote that capitalism as an economic system would only self-destruct from within.. Obama is the political catalyst to that destruction and the establishment of totalitarian absolute rule in America..
VAT is the hammer that drives nails into the Bahamian coffin.. We are told that it will not raise the cost of livings, but the political pundits cannot give a single example of where VAT has not raised consumer prices across the board.. Are we so foolish or stupid as a people to permit this destructive policy to destroy our country?? Have we reached the state of being where we have become lackeys to Statism and refuse to protest our imposed self-destruction?? It is time to stand up and be counted.. To demand an end to this Very Awful Tax that only will increase poverty and lower our standards of living.. Again, cite or just give us one example where VAT has not caused an inflationary response to this poverty creating tax.. Time for Bahamians to just say NO to the greatest lie ever told by government….
So true Tradewinds. I think he is out to bring down America, no doubt in my mind. Why is it America did so well without all the regulations the first 150 years? That is a question that America needs to ask herself. This PC is political corruptness, nothing more and is now and will in the future destroy our countries. If you can’t see what it is doing they you are blind to it. As far as the VAT is concerned I don’t understand these politicians that think they are so much smarter than everyone else, yet they can’t see what the VAT will do to us all…….
Who is to say our politicians are smarter than everyone else.. One well know commentator would describe them as “low information” politicians who have limited knowledge which is their only qualification for office.. When it comes to VAT we can only pray “father forgive them, for they know not what they do”.. For they are blind to the danger that they will cause in the destruction of our once prosperous Bahamian economy.. Why is it that fools lead and the foolish follow them to their slaughter??

And they get elected,what does that say about the people ? Oh just lye back & let them kill us all,its OK.September being the slow month that it is will be the norm all year after the VAT.How did it come to this prey tell,all of parliament & not one of them question this, Why is that ?
