Video: Avoid the “fiscal cliff”. Maybe the US should go over?

by Rick Lowe

The following brief video is some sound advice The Bahamas Government should heed.

But before you get to that consider the following comments from Professor Steven Horwitz on the fiscal cliff:

"I have never believed that "going over the fiscal cliff" (love that image) would be a horror show, and I am now becoming persuaded that to the extent it means that the American people will actually have to feel the pain of paying for the size of government they've voted for in the last two presidential elections, it is actually a Good Thing."

"I don't want to see anyone's taxes go up in the abstract, but, from a purely pragmatic perspective, it might be the more effective path to smaller government in the long run."

  1. Tradewinds's avatar Tradewinds says:

As Thomas Jefferson so wisely said “A government that is big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take away all that you have..” This is just another description of big government acting in their own self-interest and NOT in the interest of the nation as a whole and the people that put them there.. Wake up Bahamas, it may be to late for America but not for the Bahamas..
