BUILD A ROOF OVER RANFURLY
Someone once said, "There is a lot that happens around the world we cannot control. We cannot stop earthquakes, we cannot prevent droughts, and we cannot prevent all conflict, but when we know where the hungry, the homeless and the sick exist, then we can help."
The Ranfurly Home is a privately operated orphanage here in Nassau, Bahamas which has served the local community for more than fifty years. The facility receives a relatively small subsidy from government and is heavily dependent upon the benevolence of both corporate and individual donors for its ongoing maintenance and operations. In this vein, the home recently reached out to corporate Bahamas to request financial assistance in its “Build a roof over Ranfurly” initiative. In answer to the call, Templeton staff generously delved into their wallets and along with a company match, together raised $1,300 toward the cause.
A few facts about the home include: 1) it was founded in 1956 by Lady Hermoine Ranfurly and 2) it has the capacity to accommodate forty-five children (from an age range of five years to twenty years).
The Nassau team was honored to offer their generosity in support of such a worthy cause!
