Consistently inconsistent

Rick Lowe

Jogging home last week it occurred to me that many of us are very inconsistent.

Ever notice how we can't drive in the correct lane to go straight for example. Many of us must drive in the wrong then and then cut into the line of folks that have been patiently waiting? My father used to call this the "get ahead syndrome".

How about how some folks use the sidewalk to park their vehicles as it might be inconvenient to walk back to the store or business they want to frequent. So of course the pedestrians then have to wander into traffic. It's so often happens I refer the sidewalks as sideparks.

What about those folks that block traffic to talk?

Some people say it's we simply don't care about the inconvenience we cause other people, while some people suggest we are just simply totally unaware of our surroundings.

What's your take?

I think many of us are just consistently inconsistent.

Rick, perhaps what you have concluded is just another set of examples which reflects upon the moral decline in our national character and civility.. What you describe could have been taken right out of Herman Wouk’s comical novel, “Don’t Stop the Carnival”, where punctuality is unimportant and self-respect has yet to be understood.. Sorry Rick you can’t stop the carnival; our show must go on..

Where there is consistency is the fact that the stupid dumb idiots that cut over from the right lane into the left lane right at the light at Montague. They are very consistent in pissing me off & breaking the law & in my opinion are one of the reasons the left lane is slower than it should be.I have called the police on numerous occasions to get a policeman there between 4.30 & 6.30 & they have consistently done nothing about it.I think you could write a few thousand dollars worth of tickets there every day for sure but I guess that to would be inconsistent.
