OTHELLO or the Tragedy of Conchy Joe – A wonderful performance

Othello

Rick Lowe

We were encouraged to go to see Craig Pinder in OTHELLO or the Tragedy of Conchy Joe on Friday night, and I'm so glad we were.

If you don't know, Craig Pinder is a Bahamian actor residing in London. UK. The number of plays he has performed in is well, astounding. Let's say he is quite accomplished.

Not being a fan of Shakespeare I was hesitant, but the friends that invited us assured me it had been "dumbed down" enough that even your not so humble blogger could follow it, Olde English and all.

The performances of Craig Pinder (Othello), Belinda Owusu (Desdemona) and Moses Hardwick (Iago) were excellent.

The event was:

Directed by Robin Belfield of the Yellowtale Theatre Company
Presented by Shakespeare in Paradise at The Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts
Designed by Karen McKeown
Stage Manager, Rebecca Loxton
Set Construction (Nassau), Dede Brown and Dylan Rapillard
Produced in Nassau by Kim Aranha
Ringplay Productions also assisted.
