Well we all knew the day would come again when a pedestrian would be killed by a Jitney, and this time it's a four year-old girl. What a tragedy.
Unfortunately from the eye witness report in The Tribune, it seems to indicate both the mother and the driver are at fault.
However, it's far past the time that jitney drivers should be acting more responsibly with their driving and parents should be more careful with their children.
Hopefully this will be a wake call for everyone that when we do not pay attention on the road tragedy can strike.
Condolences to the family and the driver. What a difficult thing it must be to deal with.

Public Transportation Reform!
“Hell have no fury” than a Nassau jitney driver rushing to get his next fare.. What can Bahamian society expect when its “all for me baby” and everyone else be damned.. Nothing will come of this utter tragedy as public outrage and sadness fades and jitney drives continue to race to get their next fare.. Just another wake-up call that will go unanswered..
So sad about the little girl, so sad.Another sad thing is that I predict absolutely nothing will come from this.In my experience,he probably has a relative or a friend on the force & that’s the end of that.There are how many jitneys driving around in a fury in this town ? We have seen two jitney drivers on Prince Charles drive, speeding side by side half way out of the window,trying to chop each other with a cutlas ! No this was not a dream,it really did happen.This is what happens when there are no consequences to your actions.This is what happens when there is no price to pay.We have let the law have a free pass for far to long & I think its far to late to do anything about it now.
