Sweden has moved away from Socialism?

The Atlas Economic Research Foundation CEO Brad Lips recently interviewed Sweden’s former Minister of Employment, Sven Otto Littorin.

Seems they’ve reduced income taxes to move toward consumption taxes as they’ve found this incentivises people to work harder.

Rick.. Maybe, just maybe there is no real growth in incomes to tax at a rate that will maintain Sweden’s enormous public sector and social expenditures.. If there is no incremental income to increase tax revenues from, then socialists always taxes consumption.. Sales taxes, VAT taxes all are policies for income redistribution.. When Sweden cuts spending and cuts taxes as well, I might become a believer too..

    Thanks Tradewinds.
I came away from the video wondering why they can see Socialism is unsustainable so they start to implement market reforms, while many countries in the West are doing the opposite these days, including ours.
