I have been following the recent Marco Archer story from afar for the last few days. This morning the Bahamas Press has announced, and then it was confirmed via ZNS this evening, that Marco has been found dead. As the father of two, my heart goes out to the family of this innocent little boy. This would be the worst nightmare for any parent. We are not supposed to outlive our children. I can't help but ask myself, why? What did he do to warrant death at such a young age which robbed him of an active and productive life.
Someone on Twitter put it right, "Parents, you need to take every step to ensure the safety of your child(ren). This ain' "the island" your grandparents talked about."

I certainly want to publicly offer my condolences to the family.
I would call on Prime Minister Ingraham to not wait until next Monday to make a statement to the nation on crime. The time to act is now… and we must act swiftly and prudently. Let's not wait to hear another tragedy like Marco Archer.

Let us all beg the Prime Minister to act NOW and ask Mr. McCartney and Mr. Christie to get off their soap boxes, join hands with Mr.Ingraham and let the criminals know that they are in a united fight to save our country. We have a nation in peril and we are sick of the partisan politics.
There is no reason in my mind, why the person that did this to this little Innocent boy should not be killed off the face of this earth as fast as possible.They do not deserve a trial & I don’t want to hear anything about them, other than the fact that they are now dead,period.Enough is enough.What will it take to get through to the powers that be that we have to start punishing these perverts appropriately ?
The family of Marco Archer will never, ever be the same again.We call ourselves a christian nation, what bull, it sure doesn’t show to me, even from the point of view of punishment.We don’t listen to the privy council for anything else, why hanging.So what if six people don’t want to hang, the majority rules doesn’t it ?

Majority rules yes, but the rights of the minority are always to be protected. Otherwise we could end up with mob rule, and I don’t think that’s what we want.
This incident has brought to light a disturbing trend of child molestation in this country. I hope the death of Marco Archer is not in vain. We need to take a serious look around and make some hard choices so that this does not happen again.
Excuse me for being ignorant men…but does the Bahamas have capital punishment?

yes Rick, but if they don’t start enforcing these laws, maybe its time for a mob, they don’t seem to listen to anything else.New laws are not going to change a damn thing, its the enforcing of the laws that counts & I honestly don’t think we are capable of that.Why can’t we just enforce the laws now ? Why is because of corruption in my opinion.The criminals win every time.What a shame we all have to live like this on 21 x 7.If you can’t handle 21 x 7 then you do not want to. If mob rule means ridding our country of these criminals then maybe we need it because nothing else is working.
