Rick Lowe
Dr. Sweeting informed us about a great new radio station here in this post… last week.
If you haven’t listened in yet, you don’t know what you’re missing.
And I can’t help but share this new ad we’ll be placing with them.
Hope you enjoy FM 98.1 and our ad.
I just heard the most amazing rendition of the 23 Psalm. which choir sang that?
Its nice to have another option
I’ll see if I can find out for you.
We’re told:
“The piece is by Howard Goodall titled “Psalm 23″ and sung by the Christ Church Cathedral Choir. It was also used as the theme for the BBC series The Vicar of Dibley.”
Hope you can find it.
The only classical music radio station I know of without any web presence needs to develope one.
Finally, a radio station that is adult oriented to the more sophisticated listener that just wants to chill out with “real” music: light classical that helps drown out the college rage junk throughout the bahamas.
Frankly, my friends see the bahamas as a resort for college to young twenties visitors and stay clear of it..a bad impression and one supported by the music played just about everywhere in the bahamas except for the better restaurants.
My hat is off to the producers of this station which, quite frankly, is one of the best lite classical in this hemisphere. Please keep it up; I visit here twice a year and have been for 29 years. Now I can leave my CD’s home..love it!
Mr. Tomlinson/Dion
Hearing the excellent station constantly, don’t know how I lived before it. Reading all the blogs I agree, it’s just fine….except for a v. important detail.
I understand that 98.1 is a feed. No doubt this is why tracks are not identified afterwards.
I would not expect this for light, popular tracks. But many pieces are new to us; it would be such a great addition to the broadcast if the rarer, unknown pieces were briefly identified.
Is that possible? Afterall there is no effort required for a feed station besides advertising or naming sponsors.
