Anyone who is familiar with this website will know the opinion of this blogger on health care run by Government – any Government. It will not work and it will get tied up in all the bureaucracy, waste of money and inefficiency that governments are so good at doing.

I thought I had read and seen it all on this subject but President Obama and the democratic congress of the US have moved to a level that I would not have thought possible in a democracy. Because of the many sweetheart deals to get members of his own party to switch their votes from NO to Yes on a basis of give me what I want and I will give you what you want, never mind ethics and principles, should be cause for every American with a conscience to hang his head in shame.

I have borrowed a title from P.J. O'Rourke and say that instead of referring to the hallowed halls of Congress it should be called "A Parliament of Whores".
