A phenomenal talent. There's no other way to explain Peter Gabriel.
If all of his work with Genesis and since he left them doesn't confirm this, his recent CD, Scratch My Back, will no doubt do so.
Gabriel tells us in a video included with the deluxe CD that the concept for Scratch My Back was that he would record songs of other people using no drums or guitars. The "scratch" comes in when the songwriters of the tunes on this CD record a Peter Gabriel tune on a future release.
I think it's neat.
What one doesn't expect is the orchestral arrangements, but they won't disappoint.
