Why tourism is no longer promoted in Cuba – Another sad day for freedom loving people

Dr. Bill Perry, a psychologist in San Francisco, recently lamented in the Miami Herald that Cuba does not want tourism, “Because the last thing Castro wants is foreigners coming in and giving “dangerous” ideas to Cubans – ideas like freedom and that sort of thing.”

Apparently the Police are locking women up for six years for talking to foreigners.

Oh, and what about that great health care system we keep hearing about?

Dr. Perry tells us:

Do you want to know the truth about the Cuban Medical system? It’s abysmal, unless of course you are a foreigner seeking medical attention in Cuba (or Michael Moore).

People are desperate for medications. Doctors refuse to see them without being bribed. If you want an ambulance, you better be prepared to bribe the drivers.

He goes on:

No money? Tough luck.

Sick? Go wait six hours at a clinic and get a prescription for something that you could never fill, even if you had the money. All this while foreigners get superb medical care and get to walk wherever they want and stay in hotels built by people who aren’t allowed near them.

What a utopia Castro has created. Surely the few zealots around town that celebrate him, his henchmen and their economic and political policies must realise that it is a failed system that only creates misery for the Cuban people?

Just as the world does not need right wing dictators, it deserves no left wing dictators.

People should be able to live in freedom with policies of free enterprise and private initiative. The evidence is clear.

It’s time for Castro and his ilk to move on. The Cuban people deserve better.

thank you again Rick Lowe, for trying to “open the eyes” of the Bahamian people to the injustices
that exist on an island that many of them consider a Paradise.
