Here’s an interesting story about the Canadian health care system:

OTTAWA–Belinda Stronach, the MP for Newmarket-Aurora and former cabinet minister, travelled outside Canada’s health-care system to California for some of her breast cancer treatment earlier this year.

While I can’t blame Ms. Stronach for seeking the best care available, it speaks volumes about the single payer system still dominant in Canada.

It seems somewhat ironic that the Bahamas Government would consider following this model doesn’t it?
