Well, the new FNM Government has reviewed the multi million dollar Albany project, a development at the south west end of Nassau (New Providence).
It seems obvious to this not so humble blogger, and many others, that the FNM used its position of power to gain beach access for Bahamians among other concessions from the developer.
One can argue this is good or bad, but at the end of the day I believe the FNM had no alternative but to approve the development. Things had gone too far under the previous PLP regime to stop the development because of the signal that would send to future developers.
At the end of the day, if both parties feel satisfied and The Bahamas can count on additional economic growth, it was a good decision by the FNM to review the project.
Hopefully the same positive results will accrue with the other contracts under review.
