Dear Mr. Ingraham:

Things are beginning to settle down since election 2007 and it looks like your new government is fast becoming firmly in control and getting a better understanding of the task ahead of you.

On a personal note, I know you are a man of action, and your heart is in the right place, but since you now have your Cabinet in place, I trust you will direct, and then let them take the flak at the outset once they know what is expected of them. At least I hope so.

Of course, like all Prime Ministers you can come in like a knight in shining armour to resolve a crisis at the end of the day, as you should.

Many people are commenting how wonderful it is to see people cleaning up, painting curbs, working on street lights and seeing the Police in action for a change.

I for one will be here to help cheer you on with your successes, but will also offer my two cents when I think there is a better policy option is available.

Your hands are full, but you appear to have a good team with you. A group of men and women that will move the country out of the lethargy it has been in for a few years now.

I certainly don’t envy you and your team but wish you tremendous success. The Bahamian people deserve no less.

PS. Thanks for making the minority feel as if we belong. We can all accomplish so much more together as opposed to being made to feel as if we are the big white bogeyman.
