Global Warming

Sheldon Richmon hits the nail on the head with this article titled Global Warming and the Layman at the Foundation for Economic Freedom.

Check it out. It’s worth the investment of the time.

How does Chavez get away with "dumping" oil in the North East?

Professor Don Boudreaux at Cafe Hayek, one of my favourite economists and bloggers, recently posted this blog titled Always low prices.

Don’t miss the comments, they’re a great read as well.

Enjoy.

Rick – good link on the global warming issue.
My own belief – call it bias if you like – is that any reasonably intelligent person is capable of coming to an informed opinion on such issues. If they cannot, the fault lies with the scientists or journalists doing the explaining, not with the public doing the reading.
In a democracy, wisdom should not – cannot – be the province of the elite. Lao-tzu and Plato both advocated the rule of philosopher-kings. Would the rule of libertarian-kings be better? I think not. If we aim to implement freedom-based solutions, we had best improve our powers of persuasion.

    Thanks Bob:
No I don’t think the Libertarian-Kings would be any better if they do it the way it is presently done.
If they stick to their principles of limited government, then yes they would be better.

Rick, I think this global warming thing is very over exaggerated I think it is all hype to push the far left agenda. For heavens sake, the UN is now saying that cows are causing a bigger problem than humans! The nerve of the UN(Biggest bunch of fools in the world). If Al Gore is saying something, go the opposite !
