Mr. Felix Wilson, the resident Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, was overjoyed that Cuba was elected to the reconstructed United Nations Human Rights Council, much to the chagrin of the United States of America.
However, at the end of the day, the Cuban people are the ones that suffer, not Mr. Castro and his troops that keep them in virtual slavery to the State.
Call the US what you will, but I will cast my lot in with them. At this stage they are the best of the bad lot. At least when they do something I dislike, I can say so. Try that with Mr. Castro. Not to mention the other atrocities he and his troops are accused of.

If the report is true that the Bahamas did vote for Cuba, the whole cabinet should be ashamed of themselves. They will have embarrassed our citizens and should outfit themselves in sack cloth and ashes Sid
Maybe they are envious of Fidel’s control over his people, wishing they could implement the same? After all, it is possible to pick up the traits of those you hang out with.
But having said that, we were not the only country to vote with Cuba, which does not indicate freedom and democracy American style gaining ground globally.
Also there are still more people enslaved in one way or another globally than there are free.
The most important fact though is that for now, we in the Bahamas are, relatively free.
