At a carribean conference on crime late 70’s early 80’s our police commisioner was warned by his jamaican counterpart that the crime they were experiencing would creep into the Bahamas, therefore do something about it now. A friendly warning from a friend.

Nothing was done.

Reactionary, not proactive, always in damage control, or spin.

Yes the slide will continue, in fact it is accelerating.

And we will react slowly.

Sad really, as we have so much talent and potential.
