Seriously, it is all rediculous.
These policies have never worked, and this failed policy is being reinforced by new legislation all the time. Case in point, Consumer Protection act?
Rename it the "death of the incentive to get ahead act". Same for "Standards act" etc etc.
We already have legislation to prosecute fraud. We have a criminal code. we have covered most bases through the legal system. Our problem is the systems are either broken or are failing fast. They should make the effort to fix the broken mechinisms, not use excuses to reinvent the wheel.
