Taken at dusk on the way back from Rose Island with some friends.

There were five of these herons on the rocks. A most unusual sight.

We assumed that the wind was too high for them to get home so they decided to camp out on the rocks.

The boat got a little too close for comfort so they took flight and this is one of the photos I managed to shoot. As we moved away they returned to the rocks.
